Hotmail, similar to other mailing addresses can be used for a large number of websites, to receive online subscriptions, to fill up forms, to outlook Sign-up to other websites among other things. And, due to this we often tend to get a pile of unwanted emails. Large number of such emails is spam and others we would just like them to stop, say, an online subscription you subscribed to two years ago. Creating hotmail block list sounds pretty impressive and useful. It works fairly well to stop the unwanted subscriptions but is practically useless against spam as they just use different addresses. But, blocking senders can come handy when you want annoying people to stop emailing you.

Create Hotmail Block List

  1. Sign in with your hotmail account in hotmail.com.
  2. Go to Inbox, select any unwanted emails that you would like to block. In the new section of options to reply, delete etc. click on “Sweep” and select the option “Delete all from Inbox and block future email”. Now click on sweep and the sender will be blocked.
Or, you can also choose the alternative steps.
  3. Once the Outlook interfaced hotmail page loads, at the top right corner of your hotmail page, just before your Username there should be a circular symbol which is settings.
  4. Click on settings, and select “Options” from the drop box that appears.
  5. In the next page, look for “Preventing junk Email”, under”Preventing Junk Email” you will see “Safe and blocked senders”. Click on this link.
  6. Now click on Blocked senders after the next page loads.
  7. At the right side, you will be able to see Hotmail block list of “blocked senders” which you might have previously blocked .
  8. You can type any email address you would like to stop receive emails from in the box on the left side of the screen and simply click on add to list.
  9. You can unblock any blocked email address by selecting the email address from the list of blocked senders and clicking on “Remove from list”.
